FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are diamonds mined?
83% of material is from Australia, Zaire, Botswana, and Russia. South Africa once #1 is now fifth. Australian Argyle mine produces almost 30 million carats per year and is the world largest diamond mine.

Where are diamonds cut?
Four major diamond cutting centers: New York, Belgium, Israel (12,000 cutters), and in India (400,00 cutters). United States and Belgium specialize in cutting larger and finer quality diamonds.
